FAQ

Where is your office located?

11811 Upham Street
Broomfield, CO 80020

When are you available to see clients?
I see clients Mondays through Thursdays. The first sessions begin at 11 a.m., with the last at 6 p.m. MT.
How long are the sessions?
Sessions are 60 minutes.
How do I pay?
Paying for therapy should be simple. I accept cash, credit card, or check.
Do you take insurance?
I am considered an “out-of-network” provider. This means I do not work with insurance companies directly, except through the Mines and Associates Employee Assistance Program (EAP). However, you may be able to use your HAS or FAS toward sessions.
How do I make an appointment?

To schedule an appointment, you can email me at kcristobal@gmail.com or by telephone call or text at (303) 596-1792.

Do you have a cancellation policy?
Please give a minimum 24-hour notice to reschedule or cancel an appointment. If you provide less than a 24-hour notice, you will be charged for the full session fee.
With what age ranges do you work?
I work with kiddos from around 11 years old, ranging all the way through to adulthood.
What can I expect in the first session?
The first session is a time for me to get to know you, for us to build rapport, and to begin your healing journey.
Do I need to have a dance or movement background to experience somatic psychotherapy?
Absolutely not! I will work with you to support your connection to your body.
Will we move, dance, or do yoga in sessions?
These sessions are where collaboration and our collective creativity come into play. I may utilize movement as a tool to process emotions with you, but it is not a necessity to experience somatic psychotherapy.
What if I know I want help, but I don’t know what to talk about in therapy?
Fear not! You can arrive with nothing on your mind that day or a complete list of what’s on your mind. Your work is to show up, and it’s my job to support you in unraveling what’s alive for you.
Do you offer therapy ‘homework’?
If this is something you appreciate and would like to receive, then I am always glad to provide tools for you to put into practice between sessions.
What if my child doesn’t want to go to therapy, but I think they need it?
I recommend getting them into one session with me if this is the case. Often, kids, teens, and even adults have preconceived notions or sour prior experiences with therapy. One hour together to offer them a new experience usually helps them to want to come again and again.
Do you practice family therapy?
While I do not specialize in family therapy, it may benefit your kiddo or teen to have you, the primary caregiver, participate in a session.
