About

2069288027Find the right connection and meet the challenges.

You crave feeling safe, whole, and at ease from the inside out, and that’s why you’re here. Working together will be a collaborative and creative exploration that will continue to ground yin the present moment.

Perhaps you are used to concealing your true, messy self, or maybe you have yet to have someone there to support this process. Therapy is about creating a therapeutic relationship that feels safe, comfortable, and nurturing for you. It’s about allowing you to take up space on all planes – physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

Our work together will offer a deeper connection and help ease your physical body through creative tools and intuitive guidance. You will learn to listen to yourself and trust what you discover. I will create a space for you to learn to listen to your body’s deep wisdom and offer you tools to receive experiential therapy.

This work offers an integrative and experiential approach to therapy that combines many years of learning through my own journey of healing through Body Psychotherapy, Dance-Movement Therapy, and Yoga Therapy practices. It’s a powerful way to connect to your creative mind and support your mental health challenges.

Therapy offers time for exploration.

Together, we will explore the areas you need and want to nourish and places and spaces where you may need to release what is no longer serving you.

Our work is about identifying your most genuine desires through releasing what’s not you, what’s no longer serving you, and allowing you to feel and be your most empowered self. It’s about accessing the playful parts of yourself and learning the wisdom already within.

We live in a fast-paced, ever-demanding, sensory-overloaded society – feelings of overwhelm, angst, irritability, physical discomfort, and being challenged to stay in the present moment are unsurprising.

About Img 2Therapy helped me – and it can help you, too.

For much of my teenage life, I lived in this state, with a nagging discomfort in my stomach and little tools to express my emotions to those closest to me. Generational familial trauma ran deep in my bones, and my voice felt small.

Discovering yoga and later somatic psychotherapy completely changed my life and ability to navigate all that was in the past, be alive in the present, and define my thoughts about the future.

The positive impacts of consistent therapy together may surprise you, but they can allow you to feel more regulated from the inside out. One of our goals while working together will be to create an adaptable nervous system that can support the many waves of your everyday life.

About Me

About KeiraEarly on, helping others was my passion.

In the sixth grade, I had one of those ‘what do you want to do when you grow up’ assignments, and I wrote with crisp clarity that ‘I want to help people.’ I announced this excitedly to the class, only to have my teacher tell me it wasn’t a job; thankfully, her words never swayed me. If anything, her comment propelled me to continue being curious about how and who I could help.

My healing path and passion for helping others are genuine privileges that provided motivation to work as a therapist. I wake up grateful for the work I get to do every day.

My professional background encompasses a unique skillset.

As a registered Psychotherapist and Dance-Movement Therapist (R-DMT), I hold a dual master’s degree in Body Psychotherapy and Dance-Movement Therapy from Naropa University in Boulder, CO.

During my internship at Children’s Hospital in Colorado, I worked as a Yoga Therapist within the Ponzio Creative Arts Therapy Program. For years before that position, I was fortunate to help others as a volunteer, allowing me to grow immensely in my understanding of mental health in kiddos, teens, and familial dynamics.

In 2008, I received certification as a Massage Therapist through the Denver School of Massage Therapy, furthering my understanding of the human body and the healing power of touch. For physical reasons, I started practicing yoga and became quickly enamored by its impact on my mental and emotional health.

Since 2006, I have taught yoga and am a certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT) under the International Association of Yoga Therapists. Receiving this certification required 300 hours of yoga therapy training through Integrative Yoga Therapy at Kripalu, MA, and 200 hours of Hatha teacher training through the Yoga Pod in Boulder, CO. I began my yoga journey with traditional Hot or Bikram yoga teacher training in Los Angeles, CA. Additionally, I hold special certificates in Kids Yoga and Yoga Nidra.

Life offers many pleasures outside of work.

I have a love for plants and a knack for overwatering them. One of my greatest joys in life is being an aunt.

Spending time on my yoga mat or at a ballet barre brings me immense joy and emotional release.

I continue to buy more books than I can read in a year. And one of my sisters is constantly amazed at my ability to finish a box of cookies in a day.

Travel fuels my soul, and I have more Post-it notes than I can count that list all the places I have yet to explore.
